Introducing a new handbag collection by Tara Sauvage - Rocco e Dante for Fall/Winter 2008-09. Inspired by her love of design and Tara's many trips around the world, the collection features Italian finished leathers in bold colors and rich textures.
The average retail price point is between $400-$700 and the collection was designed for a modern urban fashionista who enjoys shopping, travel and fashion and does not want to carry the same mass produced handbag as everyone else. The diva who fits our profile enjoys shopping at unique high end boutiques and better department stores. She is looking for that one fabulous handbag each season to complete her look.
After a decade of designing handbags, belts and fashion accessories for private label in Los Angeles and Seattle, Tara decided to launch her own collection - named after her two adorable pugs Rocco and Dante.
In the Summer of 2007, Tara went to Milan, Italy and took an intensive Italian design course at the well known ARS Arpel Sutoria School to sharpen her technical skills in luxury goods. Each bag prototype of the Rocco e Dante collection is road tested by the designer herself to make sure that the function of the bag works for the busy urban girl and changes are made as needed to each sample to make it user friendly. In addition to working on the Rocco e Dante collection, Tara also designs handbags and fashion accessories for corporate clients as a freelance consultant.
